Granite............Mother Nature's Creation
- Granite is extracted directly from the earth giving each piece its own unique, natural beauty. The unmistakable appearance, strength, heat and stain resistance of granite has proven to stand the test of time. Those attributes give granite a wide array of uses both indoors and outdoors.
- We have over 40+ colors of slabs to choose from in our Roscommon warehouse. If you are unable to choose the ideal color for your project from our selection, we work directly with several different granite wholesalers for further slab choices. Each of our slabs is, most commonly, 3 cm (1-1/4”) in thickness.
- For your smaller projects, we have an ever-changing selection of remnants to choose from as well.
- Granite countertops should be cleaned daily with soap and water or a mild household cleaner.
- We apply a 5 year sealer during our fabrication process. Additional applications can be done by homeowner, if necessary, after the 5 years.
- We also have a more limited selection of slabs for viewing outdoors at the Saginaw location.

Quartz....... The Engineered Choice
- Unlike natural stone slabs, which are mined, these slabs are engineered in a factory. The primary ingredient is ground quartz (about 93%) , combined with polyester resins to bind it and pigments to give it color.
- Due to the stones uniform pattern and color consistency, your selection of quartz can be chosen from our 12” x 6” sample pieces vs. whole slabs. We currently work with several different Quartz vendors offering LG Viatera, Silestone, Compac, Caesarstone & Difinit, just to name a few options.. We also have quartz remnants for your smaller projects.
- Quartz countertops are heat and scorch resistant, but only to a certain point. Most manufactures say their products can handle up to 400 degrees F, but to be safe, we recommend the use of a trivet or hot pad.
- Quartz manufactures recommend that quartz NOT be used on exterior projects where they are in constant direct sunlight day after day. This can cause colors to fade or the countertop to warp or split over time. Currently, none of the major manufactures offer an outdoor approved quartz countertop.
- Quartz is non-porous and offer a virtually no-maintenance material solution for countertops. Simply clean with mild soap and water while avoiding anything abrasive.
